The story behind the image:

Seeing the subject seated in the driveway, I needed to take several shots from which to study his environment.

Back at the studio, I was intrigued by the imagery of barbed wire on the steel gate. There were cars in the background which I eliminated to create a more secluded environment. I improvised imagery on cement walls to further accentuate the shadowy stillness of this subject's openly oppressive prison-like environment.
