This is the face of Darfur. Mass slaughter and rape of Darfuri men, women, and children in Sudan. Government-armed and funded Arab militias known as Janjaweed (‘devils on horseback’) systematically destroy Darfurians - burning villages, looting economic resources, polluting water sources, and murdering, raping, and torturing civilians. More than 480,000 people have been killed and over 2.8 million people displaced.
