Don't Shed No Tears
24"x36" Acrylics on Canvas 2006

This compelling and wonderfully detailed painting subject was an anguished genocide refugee from Darfur in Sudan, where 500,000 people have been brutally killed and 4.5 million have been inhumanely displaced. The title of the painting (and of the Don't Shed No Tears series) is from the lyrics of a song by Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry.
